Product Introduction
An IBC keeps its box shape because of the horizontal frame tube, also called the cross tube or transverse member. These tubes sit across the frame and tie the vertical posts together. The rigid lattice they form stops the container from ballooning outward once it is full. Fit them right and the cage behaves as one structure; fit them loosely and the body rocks, racks and rubs the liner until something gives. We form the IBC horizontal frame tube from galvanized hollow section. Customers can take it straight, or with the ends already flattened and drilled, ready to drop into the welding jig without any bench work.

Features
Cross members are formed from galvanized hollow section, then cut and drilled to your frame pitch.
The ends come flattened or swaged, which lets the IBC horizontal frame tube slip straight onto the vertical posts.
We galvanize to ISO 1461; the tube keeps its coating through years of outdoor use.
Rigid lattice geometry limits liner bulge and stops the cage from twisting under load.
Length tolerance stays consistent, so a full production run squares up without hand fitting.
These tubes work with steel, composite and hybrid pallets without any change to hole patterns.
Buyers can take them loose or as part of a full cage kit, whichever suits the line.
A heavier wall is on offer for high-density products and tall stacking configurations.
Working Principle
Hoop Stress: Fill a tonne container with liquid and the contents push outward against the sides. The IBC horizontal frame tube acts like a hoop, holding the liner in and turning that sideways push into tension along the steel. Less bulge means less stress on the plastic and a longer service life.
Force Transmission: Stack two IBCs and the upper one sits on the lower one's top rail. That weight travels through the top horizontal tube and down the vertical columns to the pallet. The weld at the top tube decides whether the stack holds.
Impact Protection: Forklift drivers clip things. When they do, the middle horizontal tube usually takes the hit first. It absorbs the energy and keeps the forks off the liner, and that matters in a busy warehouse.
Applications
General chemical industry: a standard rectangular tube design suits most acid and alkali liquids.
Food and pharmaceutical industry: smooth surfaces and even galvanizing leave no dead corners where dust or bacteria can collect.
Hazardous goods transport: for UN-certified packagings the wall thickness and weld quality have to clear drop and stacking tests without rupturing.
Reusable IBC fleets that go through repeated filling, stacking and transport cycles.
Tall stacking installations where the middle rails carry the heaviest hoop load.
