IBC Corner Spacer

Intermediate Bulk Containers rely heavily on the structural integrity of their steel pallets to safely transport. The IBC corner spacer contributes an important role on the pallet’s handling. These four components are foundational side elements welded to the base ring, fasten tightly with the steel cage and baseboard to form a robust steel frame that supports the immense weight of a filled tank.

Description

Manufacturing and Certification Standards

Engineered to meet mandatory UN certification standards, these spacers are critical for assuring the safe transport of materials. The manufacturing process begins with first grade pre-galvanized steel coils. Through a robotic automatic multi-stage process that involves die-cutting, drawing, stamping, and punching. The automatic forming process ensures that every finished part maintains consistency, making them perfectly suited for our customers' automated assembly systems.

Dimensional Engineering and Logistical Optimization

The design of the IBC corner spacer is specific and functional. Sized at 168mm in width and 86mm in depth, and features a critical 60-degree curve. This curvature is designed to form the corner shape at the bottom of the IBC steel pallet, acting as the pillars of the steel framework and allowing access for pallet jacks and forklifts during handling.

A key feature of these spacers is the options in height, which directly influences logistics:

The 80mm Option: This height is engineered for global import and export efficiency. By building the pallet profile lower, the total height of the IBC tank is lowered to fit perfectly inside standard shipping containers, maximizing load quantity and thereby reducing freight costs.

The 90mm Option: This slightly taller profile focus on easyier handling. The extra clearance space provides more space for pallet jacks and forklifts to enter, therefore lessen the chance of damages to the steel pallet, it is an ideal structure for high-traffic warehouse and workshops.

Assembly Versatility and Material Durability

Recognizing different manufacturing setups, the corners feature two different screw draw types. The M8 self-tapping option is designed for high-speed, conveyor-type automated setup. Conversely, the M8 nut-and-bolt option caters to the manual assembly setup.

The metal's thickness is at 1.4mm, an industry standard designed to meet various UN standard tests such as dropping, stacking, and vibration. Last but most importantly is the pre-galvanized coating of 80 g/m². This coding offers corrosion resistance, extending the life cycle longer by protection from oxidation.

FAQ

Q:I prefer a higher pallet for easier pallet jack access. Is this possible?

A:Yes, we have 9 cm high corners. Combining these with a 9 cm high bridge will make the entire pallet 9 cm high, allowing easier access for a pallet jack.
