Advanced Manufacturing Process
The production of the IBC base plate begins with leading, pre-galvanized steel rolls. To translate this raw material into a finished structural component, the manufacturing process consolidates several heavy-duty metallurgical processes. The progress starts with die-cutting, which establishes the initial footstep, followed by deep-drawing- to create the demanded structural depth. Stamping and punching are then applied to incorporate elaborate features and fastening points. This continuous integration of processes ensures that every plate exiting the assembly line meets exact tolerances and is ready for immediate inclusion into the IBC assembly chain.
Structural Specifications and Dimensions
Designed with a standard measurement of 1.2m x 1.0m, the IBC base plate design is tailored for vessel container shipping and warehouse racking systems. The build of the plate is defined by several key functional zones:
Integrated Drip Pan
Located at the front of the plate, this deep-drawn area is to facilitate liquid discharge.
Roll-Formed Structure
Instead of a flat metal pan, it's cradle-like shape is to match the lower profile of the IBC tote, ensuring the container remains stable and secure during transit.
Flange Perimeter
At the outer edge, metal flange is preformed to create a smooth, rounded profile. This structure is done for workplace safety. Straight die-cut creates sharp burrs; flange perimeter significantly reduces the risk of laceration injuries for material handlers.
Attachment and Assembly Versatility
To provide a rigid and permanent integration to the IBC steel cage, the IBC base plate features nine integrated screw bosses positioned optimally around the perimeter. In recognition of varying process differences, these bosses are offered in two configurations: self-tapping screw designs for automated conveyor assembly or nut-and-bolt configurations for manual mechanical locking. Furthermore, specialized bosses are located in the drip pan and the rear section to secure the base ring and back spacer, ensuring the entire IBC unit functions as a cohesive, rattle-free structure.
Material Durability and Protection
This part is built with 1.0mm thick premium steel at an 80 g/m² zinc coating layer. This highest, research and approved industry standard provides robust strength and sufficient protection against corrosive moisture and chemicals.
