The cleaning process for IBC plastic containers must follow certain steps and precautions to ensure cleaning effectiveness and protect the containers from damage. First, before cleaning, a preliminary inspection of the container is necessary to confirm its structural integrity and avoid liquid leakage or cleaning agent entering the container's internal structure and causing damage during cleaning. Next, select a suitable cleaning agent based on the nature of the residue inside the container. For general chemical residues, neutral or weakly alkaline cleaning agents can be used; for oil stains or stubborn stains, specialized degreasers or strong alkaline cleaning agents may be required.
During the cleaning process, it is recommended to use a high-pressure water gun or automatic cleaning equipment to ensure that the cleaning agent fully contacts and removes dirt from the inner wall of the container. During rinsing, pay attention to controlling water pressure and rinsing time to avoid excessive water pressure causing deformation of the IBC or excessive rinsing time leading to resource waste. For hard-to-clean corners or crevices, use a soft brush or sponge for manual cleaning.
After cleaning, rinse the IBC multiple times with clean water to thoroughly remove any residual cleaning agent. Then, invert or tilt the IBC to allow internal water to drain naturally and allow it to air dry. During drying, avoid direct sunlight or high temperatures to prevent aging or deformation of the IBC material.
In addition to the above basic cleaning steps, there are some precautions to take. For example, wear protective gloves and goggles during cleaning to prevent irritation to the skin and eyes from cleaning agents or dirt; maintain good ventilation at the cleaning site to reduce the concentration of harmful gases; and treat wastewater according to environmental protection requirements to avoid environmental pollution.
