IBC ID Plate

Think of the IBC ID plate not as decoration, but as the hard-working nameplate of the industrial world. Mounted to the steel frame, this panel has three essential jobs. First, it displays mandatory certification markings. Second, it provides a clear, flat surface for operational labels. Third, it carries the manufacturer’s identity. Its entire design is shaped by strict safety and transport regulations. This UN marking plate is built to pass rigorous performance tests, ensuring it offers a permanent, legible canvas for critical hazard information. This guarantees that safety data survives the journey intact, which is foundational for safe material handling.

Description

The strength and durability begin with the material. The IBC ID plate is formed from a sheet of pre-galvanized steel, expertly rolled to a thickness of 0.5 millimeters. This creates a component that is remarkably strong without being heavy. But strength alone isn't enough, the steel is given a zinc coating of 80 grams per square meter to shield against rust.

Building each plate is an automated process. It all begins with a large coil of this zinc-protected steel. The coil is first fed through a die, which cleanly cuts the steel into the proper rectangular shape. Next, each panel moves to a stamping press. This step does two things: it adds crucial rigidity to the metal, and it can simultaneously press the manufacturer's logo into the surface with a clean, permanent emboss. Finally, precision machines punch out the mounting holes. The result is a perfectly consistent plate, ready for immediate assembly.

Now, this particular model features two smart upgrades that set it apart. The first is its ingenious clip-on design. Unlike older plates that required screws and tools, this one simply clips securely onto the IBC steel cage pipes. The finished piece, called the IBC clip-on back plate, measures 510 by 422 millimeters. This size is no accident; it's perfectly fitted to latch onto two cross sections of the cage's horizontal and vertical pipes, neatly covering four squares of the rear wire grid. This not only makes installation quick but gives the container a clean, professional look.

The second standout feature is a perimeter flange. Leaving sharp edges poses laceration risk, the sides of the steel are rolled to create a smooth profile. This upgrade eliminates dangerous burrs, and making the workplace safer.
