Butterfly live screw valves offer high flow rate, it is particularly advantageous for bulk fluids. The best choice depends on your specific liquid and operational needs.
Flow Rate
high flow; the disc design causes minimal flow restriction, resulting in a very low pressure discharge.
Valve Size & Weight
Butterfly live screw valves are less in weight and size; the disc-style design is thinner, creating a smaller and lighter valve case.
Cost-Effectiveness
Due to their simpler construction, butterfly valves are often more cost-effective, especially in larger sizes.
Operational Speed
Very quick to operate.
Application Suitability
Especially with bulk liquids where moving high volumes quickly is key.
The manufacturing process involves the plastic injection of various parts, followed by assembly and individual air-tightness testing.
The primary reason for a 3-inch valve is flow rate. The typical flow rate of a 3-inch valve is 7,000–10,000 L/h (gravity-fed). It is designed for thick, viscous liquids such as syrups, oils, and paints.
The series of butterfly live screw valves is built with a 80mm tote side live screw-thread connection. It is recommended to use a gauge wrench to secure the valve tightly with the blow-molded IBC tote. The discharge side is a standard 3-inch screw cap. The 3-inch screw nozzle is used by replacing the screw cap to facilitate liquid discharge.
The advantage of a live screw-thread is there is no customization requirement. As the valve is screwed to the inner bottle, the position of the handle needs to be exactly at the twelve o'clock upright position. Since the live screw connection separates the valve body and the screw thread, the handle can always maintain at the upright position as the tightening is accomplished by just turning the screw thread component.
